It isn't back to school time quite yet! There are lots of great scouting events to fill your days before everyone heads back to the classroom. Here are just a few of the highlights:
TONIGHT: This Thursday, 8/4/2016 we are holding an event at Northwest Swim Club from 5:00 to 9:00. It is $1.00 to get in, and hot dogs are 0.50 cents, Brats are $1.00, and Hamburgers are $2.00. Please come and enjoy the hot summer we are having. Let the office now that you are with the LaRowe's when you get there. The address is 1064 Bethel Rd, Columbus, OH 43220. Please bring the whole family.
August 7th: Columbus Zoo Adventures - The Columbus Zoo is hosting Scouts for four different adventures. They are: Tiger Adventure, Wolf Adventure, Bear Adventure, and Webelos Adventure. Scouts will go on wild adventures while they earn or supplement requirements towards the new Cub Scout Adventures. Cost is $12 for Scouts and includes admission to the zoo. August 13: Merit Badge Super Saturday - The Merit Badge Super Saturdays are hosted at Columbus Ohio Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Doherty Rd. Galloway, OH 43119. Visit scouts.mbsupersaturday.org to register.
August 13: Columbus Zoo Overnight Adventures - Columbus Zoo is hosting Scouts for four different overnight adventures based on rank. Cost includes special after-hours admission that evening and the entire next day, pizza dinner, snack, ride wristband that evening, activities to include an evening hike to North America and Shores regions, up-close animal encounters, overnight security breakfast, morning hike, supplies and a Columbus Zoo fun patch. August 26: Cub Scouts' Night Hike at Dawes Arboretum - Enjoy a guided hike on a flat, grassy path near woodlands, wetlands, and fields. As the light of day fades, notice how other senses are sharpened. Location: Dawes Arboretum, 7770 Jacksontown Rd, Heath, OH 43056. Cost is $6 per person and include a patch. August 27: Columbus Crew Scout Night & Sleepover - Join the Columbus Crew for a sleepover at Mapfre Stadium. Includes upper sideline tickets to Columbus vs. San Jose game, a patch, a movie on the pitch, and a sleepover at the stadium. First 200 Scouts participate in an on-field suppers tunnel.
