AOL and Blue & Gold Dates

Hold the dates and plan to attend two important events February 2017 ....

Monday February 13th at 6:00 PM is the Arrow of Light (AOL) Ceremony in Overbrook's chapel.
The Arrow of Light Award is the highest rank in Cub Scouting. Earning this rank prepares a Webelos Scout to become a Boy Scout.

Friday February 24th is the Blue & Gold Banquet

Plan on joining us to celebrate the Birthday of Scouting and also help the AOL's cross over to Boy Scouts.

This event will be catered, the menu will consist of Penne Pasta with your choice of red or white sauce, meatballs, chicken fingers with a choice of honey mustard and bar-b-q sauce, tossed Italian salad, and assorted cookies.

The evening will include Dinner, a presentation from the BSA, entertainment and the cross over ceremony for the AOL's. Please plan on joining us for this Family event!

It is important that we have accurate numbers for this event as it is catered, so please respond with your group size no later than February 3rd so we can finalize the food order.

November Pack Meeting

November's Pack Meeting was used to recognize those Leaders & Scouts that had fulfilled requirements and also to a large number of new Scouts that had achieved Bobcat Status. Congratulations to all Leaders, Scouts & parents who were recognized tonight.

The meeting was tinged with some sadness as Cubmaster Kelly chaired his last meeting. He will be handing over the reigns to Cubmaster McCoy since his son will be crossing over to the Boy Scouts in the new year.  Cubmaster Kelly has done a terrific job over the last several years, leading the Pack, organizing events and interacting with all.  He's been actively involved with every single event and is never too busy to talk with the Scouts or their parents. We appreciate all he has done for the Pack & he will be sorely missed!

Spring Campout Wrap-up

This weekend was the annual spring camp-out. Around 100 people (Scouts and their families) came to the camp, which included a ceremony celebrating the Scouts achieving their Ranks.   Some families camped on Friday night, with most arriving Saturday afternoon for dinner, the flag raising ceremony, and then the Pack meeting. The Pack meeting was a really fun event, circled around the campfire, where the Scouts did skits and were then rewarded for completing their requirements and achieving their Rank.
Following is a series of photos from the event. Congratulations to all Cub Scouts. Have a great summer!

Tiger Day at the Zoo was a ROARING Success!

Tigers from Den 5 visited the zoo on April 24th to complete their Tiger Adventures requirement. The visit was organized by Den Leader Alycia and by a parent, Trisha, who works for the zoo. As a special treat, Trisha let the Tigers hang out at Stingray Bay and pet the rays before their official event started. That was a huge hit with the boys!
